You’re looking at the result of a thesis studie done by four architecture students at the Rural Studio: Jeff Bazzell, Julieta Collart, Lana Farkas, Connely Farr in 2006. What is more – they collected the money to make this project a reality by collecting cash donations which resulted in gathering approximately $100,000 in total. The students also punched in when it came to building it. They all helped, all with no previous experience in construction. The locations is Greensboro, Alabama and the structure stands on steel legs anchored to concrete strip footings which means the building is elevated from the ground. Inside the concrete floor is a heating system to keep the animals warm during winter. Now THAT is how you do it my friends. Hats off.
