CaixaForum Madrid | Herzog & de Meuron

The new CaixaForum in Madrid by Herzog & de Meuron is not yet finished but the pictures have been all around the internets :D for a long time now. The adaptation of the old power station in Madrid was to be done so that the old facade is kept and renovated and the character of an industrial building is preserved. What H&deM did was they elevated the new chunk of the building up on the roof and wrapped it with rusty steel panels that give the building the raw industrial look. Alongside that building is a vertical garden designed by the French botanist Patrick Blanc (Wiki). The building, which is Caixas benevolent fund for art headquarters, will include two galeries, an auditorium, a multipurpose hall, a community technology center, stores, a bookstore and a restaurant.

I’m not sure exactly why but this web site is loading very slow for me.
Is anyone else having this issue or is it a issue on my
end? I’ll check back later and see if the problem still exists.
