The RR house in Sao Paulo by the Brazilian Andrade Morettin Arquitetos lies close to the sea in a humid climate surrounded with thick vegetation. Being in this environment, the architects had to protect it from the sun with wooden screens and from the rain with huge windows that make you feel like you’re out in the nature. Good air circulation and protection from insects was crucial for this project. With the corridor between the outer facade, that is basically a membrane, and the inner facade they allow the air to circulate freely but at the same time the membrane screens keep the insects out. Wooo! I just translated that from Portuguese. Thank you, you’re such an incredible audience.
