The BIG architecture studio made a proposal for the first mosque ever to be built in Denmark and above you can see their presentation of the new complex. In Denmark, as well as in many other countries, Muslims have been trying to draw attention to the problem of not having a mosque for years. I won’t point any fingers at Denmark because of this; many countries, including my own, really should follow example of Demnark. On January 23rd a meeting was held in Aarhus on the issue of locating the mosque and the public response was amazing. The discussion resulted in the majority of people supporting the project and after hearing that will end on March 7th, the city council will decide on the issue. This is how you get things done. This topic was a burning discussion in Slovenia a couple of years ago and as usual everything went up in smoke but I won’t even go there now.
